Artist Sweat Shop

Sammy and Barbara enjoy working together. They have to think about how to interpret the theme.

Artist Sweat Shop work for Statue of Liberty

The idea of the Artist Sweat Shop was to pick out a theme from a box and then try to work with it as a paper doll. The statue of liberty was selected by David Wolfe and so he drew up a doll and the rest did the clothes for her. They came up with some excellent outfits.

Jane Powell receives a paper doll

We were all so pleased to meet Jane Powell at our convention banquet. Several artists created sets of her and gave her the work as a gift and tribute. She and her husband,Dick Moore were our special guests. We all had such a great time and received many souveniers.

Viewing white paintings

Here is a favorite photo I took in the MOMA. I think it is very artistic in itself.

Art by Joseph Bueys I l

I really like the works by Joseph Bueys. One could look at them as just ordinary objects, but he saw something more to them. I feel this way with some of the materials I've been photographing that may be ordinary, but one can see it in new ways and see the beauty in the objects. they become art in the hands of this man.

Indian by John Neito--favorite painter

Large Maniquinn

We saw this today at the Morris Museum in Morristown,NY. What a treat! This little museum has a wide variety of works and types of displays from American Indian, stuffed bears, posters of Black Movies, French Automantania dolls, music machines, paintings, costumes, and a few modern dolls. There was a surprise around every corner.
