Through the years with Margaret O'Brien.

I loved the movies with Margaret O'Brien when I was a child as we are the same age. The one I recall the best is: "Meet Me in Saint Louis" when she was the little sister of Judy Garland.  Now, many years later, 2013, I went to a paper doll convention in LosAngeles and Margaret was a guest!! She was at a table in the sales room and signing autographed photos from her movies. Of course, I picked one with Margaret and Judy dancing together from my favorite movie!  Several paper doll artists have also created sets of Margaret and there were several commercial sets of her and also a great doll.   One artist,Pat Stall, created a lovely set of her years ago and there was an article in a doll magazine showing Pat with Margaret and the PD set.
I have put together an album of pictures and also an article on Margaret from a LIFE magazine on her life as a star.  I will put this material here in this album for you to enjoy and get to know her life better.

Here are more pictures taken at the convention as she visits with Jenny Taliadoros.

Memories of my Childhood.
My mother kept a baby book with a record and pictures of my first seven years. She wrote in gifts received for birthdays and my friends in those early years. There were lots of pictures too. It is wonderful to look at all that information now and is something that new parents might like to do. I know that now, with the digital age, we do things differently, but the idea is one to keep in mind when you document the early years of your child.  I will share the pages of my baby book here so you can see how it was done back in the late 1930's and early 1940's.
