I am very happy to get this pattern again! I made the dress back in 1954 after seeing Janet Leigh wear it in the movie, "Walking My Baby Back Home" and I saw the dress in a PHOTOPLAY magazine also. The skirt requires 8 yards of fabric! I want to use a plaid taffeta and a wool jersey for the bodice. Organdy is needed for the cap sleeve.
It pays to be persistant and patient in order to find those special items from the past.
